Welcome to Avec. By downloading or using the Avec app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Avec, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms, and you agree to comply with these Terms of Service and all applicable laws.

Description of Service

Avec is a shared diary application that allows users to create private diaries, write entries, add photos, plan trips, and share these experiences with invited members. The service includes both an iOS app and a web application.

Your Account

To use Avec, you must sign in using Google or Apple authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in Avec, including diary entries, photos, and trip data ("Your Content"). By using Avec, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your diary members.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and agree not to post content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains harmful, abusive, or offensive material
• Includes personal information of others without their consent

Shared Diaries

When you create or join a shared diary, all members can view, add, and interact with content in that diary. You are responsible for who you invite to your diaries. Only invite people you trust with the content you share.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use Avec for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
• Use the service to transmit spam or unsolicited communications

Subscriptions and Payments

Avec may offer optional paid features or subscriptions. If you subscribe to a paid plan, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple's App Store policies.

Termination

You may stop using Avec at any time. You may delete your account from within the app or by contacting us at [email protected]. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Avec is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You use the service at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Avec and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or content, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Avec after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
