i. Diary types
Start with the relationship that matters and build a private archive around it. Each diary type carries its own color, its own pace, its own rules about who's in.
Log every trip, dinner, and quiet Tuesday together.
The shared diary your group chat could never be.
For roommates, book clubs, and the regulars who keep showing up.
A living archive for the moments that matter most.
A shared logbook for teams, classes, and clubs.
Why avec. exists
My girlfriend saw a girl on TikTok who tracked her dates in the Notes app. We tried it for a couple months. The format was janky, photos didn't live with the memory, and scrolling back through it felt like reading a log, not actually remembering anything.
So I built something better. A real diary that lives where the relationship does, with the photos, the places, and the paragraph you'd otherwise forget to write.

ii. What's inside
Five things avec. does well, and almost nothing it doesn't. No followers, no algorithm, no performance.
01 / Privacy
No public profiles, no discover tab, no strangers. Each diary is just the people you choose, and a code to let them in.
02 / Entries
Every entry pairs the images and locations with the small handwritten thing you'd otherwise forget. Tag it cozy, anniversary, or first.
03 / On This Day
A small ritual: open avec. and find what you were doing on this date, one year, two years, five years ago. Built for the long memory, not the short attention.
04 / Trips
Cluster entries into a trip and watch the days assemble themselves: GPS-sorted, place-tagged, ready to relive. Update day-by-day or bulk-upload the camera roll when you land home.
05 / PDF Photobook
When the chapter closes, export your diary as a beautifully typeset PDF photobook. Print it, mail it, hand it over. The internet doesn't have to be the only place a memory lives.
A journal is for you.
avec. is for us.
A memory shared with someone else isn't a journal entry. It's a small piece of a relationship, kept somewhere safe.
Free to start. Private by default. Built for the few people who get to be in it.
